Old Sleningford Farm is an informal community / voluntary group dedicated to having a good time. Our aim is to demonstrate a low impact way of life and to inspire self reliance through sharing ideas and resources.

We rent a 17 acre field and one of the buildings at the Farm where we run courses, work in our Forest Garden and look after our livestock. Please use the left hand menu to explore further.

Things have been so busy on the farm the last few months, the website hasn't had much attention. As well as the flourishing Forest Garden, we now have a raised bed area in full production with vegetables and salads. We've also had lots of groups visiting including people from the Gardens Open for Charity weekend in June, the Yorkshire Gardens Trust, volunteers from Ripon Cathedral and gardeners from RHS Garden Harlow Carr. It's interesting to hear the comments from people who have never come across a Forest Garden before, mostly positive and enthusiastic and many are inspired.

We've added some new pages to the website, so have a look at the new charcoal, bees and sheep pages, as well as the forth coming courses. The past courses and events and Forest Garden pages has also been updated, giving a flavour of some of things we've been doing.
