Old Sleningford Farm is an informal community / voluntary group dedicated to having a good time.

Our aim is to demonstrate a low impact way of life and to inspire self reliance through sharing ideas and resources.

The farm is 5 miles north of Ripon in rural North Yorkshire.

We were the winners of the Friends of Nidderdale AONB Conservation Award 2009.

What We Do

Rent a 17 acre field and building on the farm

Run courses, events, volunteer workdays and WWOOF weeks

Raise pigs, sheep, chickens, bees and occasionally geese and turkeys

Grow food in our Forest Garden, raised beds and polytunnel

Produce and sell charcoal
