Fruit to Juice is a new project to be based at Old Sleningford Farm from autumn 2009.
Building on the success of our previous apple juicing and cider making weekends, it's apparent that there is a need for our equipment to be available to more people. Rachel is therefore looking at setting up a new organisation that will encourage and enable local people to utilise fruit that may normally go to waste. Fruit to Juice will also be making some juice to sell and be offering work experience and volunteer opportunities to workers with learning difficulties from Ripon Community Link and The Walled Garden in Ripon.
At the heart of the new project is that it is a community activity, bringing local people together to make a healthy, low cost and low food miles drink.
